To celebrate International Women’s Day 2019, all members of the CAL team have worn a piece of their best pink or purple clothing!
International Women’s Day is an annual celebration of the achievements of amazing women all over the world in a plethora of industries. The day, celebrated this year on Friday 8th March, was set up to raise awareness against bias and take action for equality.
CAL International support women in engineering with both of their design engineering placement students being bright young females. Chloe and Kara are both currently studying at Liverpool John Moores’ University and completing a year in industry with CAL. Their design and engineering skills are first-rate and the work they have done for CAL has been integral to the business’ success.
Chloe, who arranged the CAL team’s involvement in supporting the day, added, “I think it is important for as many people as possible to get behind International Women’s Day and celebrate women’s success. I am proud to be a female in engineering, an industry that is currently still somewhat male dominated. Through my studies at university I can see how many girls my age are coming through in engineering amongst other industries, and I am grateful that CAL International welcome and encourage women into their company.”
CAL International are a concept to production engineering company based in Knowsley, Merseyside.
