Lee Fogg, Technical Director of CAL International is taking part in The Brick Charity Sleep Out at the DW Stadium.

Technical Director of CAL International, Lee Fogg, will be taking part in the Brick Charity Sleep Out. The Brick, along with Wigan Athletic, have launched a Stadium Sleep 2019 to raise awareness of homelessness and to raise vital funds for the charity.

The Brick is a small community project which offers services to people who are homeless, in poverty or facing debt. It strives to provide a safe, solid ‘building block’ with which people in crisis can begin to construct new, better lives and become valuable members of society.

The Stadium Sleep, hosted by Wigan Athletic Football Club, will be taking place on Friday 5th April at the DW stadium. It is open to anybody over the age of 13 and will run from 9.30pm – 6am. Those participating will spend the night in the stadium with only a sleeping bag and cardboard to sleep on in an attempt to give a slight insight into what it may be like to be homeless. There will be a hot soup supper provided and individuals working with The Brick will have the opportunity to tell their stories.

Each participant is encouraged to raise a minimum of £100 for the Brick, who are encouraging as many people as possible from Wigan and Leigh to take part in order to try and raise £100,000 to buy the Brick Works facility. The Brick Works offers training in order to increase employment opportunities for people who are unemployed for a variety of reasons, including homelessness.

Lee will be taking part in the fundraising event along with his son, Matthew, for the second year running. They have set up a Just Giving page and aim to raise £1,000 for the extremely worthwhile cause.
