Staff at CAL International have teamed up with staff at NeedleSmart and have decided that this Christmas, they will not send cards in the office but instead bring in food and toiletries that can be donated to make Christmas hampers for those in need.
The goods collected will be donated to Caring Connections, a registered charity which has supported vulnerable groups across the Merseyside region for over 27 years. The charity currently provide services for older people, individuals with mental health problems, veterans and unpaid carers and they specialise in reducing social isolation and promoting independence through dedicated home care services and targeted charitable projects.
This Christmas, Caring Connections are providing hampers for each of their 65 home service users, all of whom are over the age of 75 and many are alone at this time of year. The charity have sought the help of local businesses such as CAL International and NeedleSmart to help with the donations for these hampers.
We look forward to handing the collected goods over to Caring Connections where they can be sent to worthy recipients!
